lazy velcro design

"The soft "loop" part of the velcro fastener should extend farther into the inner band so that if you have a tighter setting the abrasive "hook" part of the velcro doesn't destroy the hat's fabric. Such an obvious design feature. Even better, if the visor came in more than one size OR instead used a tightening mechanism for the band instead of velcro (cheap) this wouldn't be an issue. On the upside, the hat is attractive, provides ample coverage and bounces back into shape even if you mash it up in suitcase."

Love this hat

"I look like a duck, and I don’t care! My face is covered, and it is really hard to get a burn anywhere with it on, but the side of my face, which is a lot easier to cover up than my nose and forehead. I have not taken the top part off to use it as just a visor since I’d like to protect my scalp as well. I’m using it in Florida and plan to go to Mexico with it and I’m so happy I bought this hat. Highly recommend."

Good coverage

"I really like the Bel Aire Visor. This is my 2nd one in a different color. I have removed the cap to wear the visor further down on my head and therefore fits tighter and keeps the brim in place so it won't blow away. If worn with the cap on, it would blow away in the slightest breeze because the material is very lightweight. However, I do not wear it on a very windy day because the brim flaps in the wind and distracts my vision. Coolibar, this visor can be improved with a firmer brim and a deeper cap to fit more like a baseball hat. Adding a chin strap would prevent it from blowing away!"

Not the same quality hat

"I have bought this in the past (2 hats)with a nice solid brim and really liked the visor option, the Velcro stayed secure. I bought black however and it faded quickly. My most recent purchase the brim was not solid but floppy and the Velcro did not remain secure. The first purchases were made in China the last was made in India. The quality has deteriorated and I will not purchase again"
